What do we mean by forgiveness

The art of forgiveness refers to the conscious act of letting go of negative emotions, resentment, and the desire for revenge towards someone who has wronged us. It involves a deliberate choice to release feelings of anger, hurt, and blame, and instead, show compassion, empathy, and understanding. The idea of “forgiving and forgetting” is all about letting go of the past and moving on with your life. It is about the moment when you finally decide to stop blaming or being angry with a person despite their hurtful action or wrongdoing without holding grudges or continuously dwelling on the negative experiences. It implies a complete release of negative emotions associated with an unpleasant experience or event.
